伐った当初のより雨のせいで更に湿った為かと思います。

I said this year's cherry was less corrosive than last year's.
I changed my mind.  I think because of the wood is wetter than when it was felled. because of
rainy weather.

コアリングってこうやります。四種類のサイズがキットになっててこれが下から二番目のサイズです。

Coring. The kit consists  of  4 size set. I am using the second smallest set, 12 inch set.

直径39センチ、葡萄種油仕上げです。上縁5mm程で壁は2～3mm程度ですが糸底の部分は未だ計ってません。

 

390 mm in diameter, finished with grape seed oil. The whole wall is turned to 2 to 3 mm thick except
the rim which is about 5 mm thick.

ウォールは3mm厚で、縁入ってる5mm、底は6mm位。底も同じ…と迷ってますが、よく削り過ぎて穴をあけてしまって怖いのです。直径37cmで葡萄種油仕上げ。No.31 ですが上さんは売れたボールは数えないと、鬼みたいなことを言います。

3 mm thick wall with a 5 mm rim and 6 mm thick bottom. I always wonder if I should try to turn the thickness of bottoms same to wall thickness. I am a little scared doing that since I often cut too much and make holes in the bottoms. I think this is my no.31 bowl, however, my wife cold heartedly says,

the bowl sold shouldn't be counted in 40 bowls for the craft fair. 370 mm in diameter and finished with grape seed oil.

ワープした時に、好ましくなる形を考えて挽いてみました。一寸フレアしたスカート見たいです。

私は女性のワンピース姿が好きです。サイドウォールは底まで２ｍｍ厚で、底がフラットに6　mm厚です。サイズは直径32cmで葡萄種油仕上げです。

 

I was thinking of shapes which will get more interesting when bowls warp. This was one of them.
It looks like a flared skirt. I've always liked seeing women in one-piece with flared skirt.
The side wall of the bowl is 2 mm thick all way to the bottom, and the bottom is flat and 6 mm thick.
320 mm in diameter and finished with grape seed oil.

撮影したのは今日、九月一日ですがすでに大分ワープしてるのが見えますよね。

記録更新で41cmのボウル？プレィトです。葡萄種油仕上げ。 ボウルのつもりでスタートしたのですがシティクルーのチェーンソウいがいと深く切り込んでいてプレートになってしまいました。 記念撮影は、家内がキャンベルリバー（サモン　キャピタルとして知られてる）へ行ってて無し。ガールフレンド？其れも無し。 今までのと違って木肌が赤いですよね？去年のは全体に真っ赤でしたが今年のは木の色、黄土色でしたが此のプレート両方が 混在していて面白い。赤い部分は鉄を錆びさせる成分が高いようです。 色具合、シェープなど気に入ってます。早く上さん戻って来ないかなぁ… マイクロウェーブクッキングはサイズが大きすぎてしていません。今日は来週土日に16回目の200kmチャリティライドを控えてて、最後の練習に出てまして、9月１日のボウルは有りません。

I rewrite my record! The diameter of this bowl, plate probably, is 410 mm, 20 mm larger than the previous record. It is too large for our micro wave oven. I started it with intention of turning a bowl, however, the city crew's saw was unexpectedly deep in the wood. The celebration photo wasn't taken since Brenda is away to Campbell River, where they claim themselves as the Salmon Capital of the World. Girl friend? No, I don't have any. You might noticed that there are very red areas in the plate. The last year's cherry was very red every where, however, this year's are mostly yellowish brown. This piece is blotchy with red and yellow. I think shavings from red area are very collusive. I like this plate very much because of it's colours and the shape. I wish my wife comes back soon, so that I can show off the plate. Next Saturday and Sunday, I am going to do my 16th year 200 km charity ride, so I did my last practice today, September 1st. There won't bee any bowl from today.
